Confused..

So.. I've been modifying my 4th gen maxima, even with it having an annoying looking side quarter panel dent and back door dent; I've decided to give this car some love.

my question is pretty odd and probably won't be answered, but I digress, my car has 217k miles on it and the other day I went and just dead stop launched it, foot to the floor. To test how my motor is? Idk😂 Anyway when I'm accelerating my rpms jump all the way to 6k then immediately after shifting down to 2k, then shifts normally, the only thing that's wrong is that as it going throughout the gears it feels like my motor is wanting to give out and die during acceleration.. almost like a slippy transmission. But it's after the shift. Any thoughts?
ive been thinking I've got a bad throttle body, or just bad gunk buildup in my combustion chamber? Seafoam fix?

Think this over. The car feels like it runs out of gas while you are at redline. What does the car need then? Lots of gasoline. A clean fuel filter would let the gas flow in sufficient quantiities. An old, dirty filter might not.

How old is your gas filter?
If you don't know, or if it looks like it has been in there for a decade or two, replace it.

Your car might have more power, and your fuel pump might have a longer life. Fuel pumps work harder when a filter is clogged.

Ya know what? I think that might be the issue, the previous owner ran the crap out of this car and didn't care about on time oil changes or anything, no telling how ugly it looks. Thanks!
