PLEASE HELP!!! 1/4 mi for stock '98 SE 5spd

Anyone who knows the 0-60 and 1/4 mile on a bone stock '98 SE 5spd please let me know. I have seen posts for a '95 doing 6.6 and 15.1. The only posts I have seen for a '98 are 8.2 and 16something. I dont understand how this could be. PLEASE HELP. Email to luckee2bhere@aol.com if you could.

the 95's are the fastest, but your 98 shouldn't be much slower... do a search on here, there are some really good drivers on this board...

Oh, and that 16 second crap must be for an auto or something?? And 8 seconds for zero to 60?? Maybe if you put it in 3rd gear to sart off or something???

Believe it or not, some mags have tested the '98 auto 0-60 in 8.2

...And all '95-96 auto's 0-60 in 7.3-7.6

I had a 96 SE auto (see sig) and it was fairly quick... but was still an auto

to answer your question... you should be able to get a 14.8 when driven perfct (I'm not saying this will be easy)

I had 95 SE auto... it was fast, but i had some friends with similar speed cars.. I then converted my auto to 5spd.. now I am WAY faster feels faster, and I can run those guys really bad that I used to be a somewhat close race (toyota avalon being one)

Ummm, I think a low 14.7 (STOCK) is obtainable when driven close to perfect?? ummm at least thats what Veteec got... lol
