Hidden Sound System Upgrade

Sound System On A Budget

Over the past 6 months, I've been slowly upgrading the sound system on the 99 SE. Yesterday we finished installing/hiding the sub-woofer under the front passenger seat. For a system that didn't cost a huge amount of money, it does the job. Here's some pictures below. Note this car did not have a Bose system. So it started out as the basic Clarion system.

Everything except the Fosgate was purchased at Best Buy

Rockford Fosgate Punch P165 - approximate cost now $55. These speakers are now over 3 years old.
JBL Basspro SL approximate cost $249
JBL GX601 - approximate cost $79
Sony WX-900BT Car CD Receiver $129
Nissan Mount Kit $23

Package Price Range $535 to $550

Hidden Sub - Under Front Passenger Seat - JBL Basspro SL

Rear Deck Speakers - Rockford Fosgate

Door Speakers - JBL GX602 - These easily mount in the stock base unit door mounts.

Head Unit - Sony - Nothing Fancy

Nice clean install, ide suggest putting a small amp on those mids and highs. So they really come alive. They are a nice set up. How you liking the 5 spd daily..?

Thanks man. The 5MT is working out good. I would like to tone down the glass pack resonator. Just a little too much drone on the interstate to be comfortable.
