i finally found a body shop to work on the max

after hopping a curb last week and narrowly missing a deer, my rails under the front doors got bent up and i have some holes in the floor that were coming through ( rust ) he's also replacing my front bumper cover, new paint, grinding down the lower rad rust and repainting, fixing my hid issue, and cleaning up the rear rails and putting a 3 step rust prohibitor to stop the rust from spreading. price is about 5-550.00 for everything. i still have to pick up a new ddm tuning hid kit as it's relatively cheap, like 65.00 and i'll only have the rust on the rear passenger quarter to do. i think that's a pretty decent price for all that. i will update when it's done with some pics in a couple of weeks. can't wait to get this stuff done!!

i'll do that when it goes in to the shop, that way it'll be up in the air and you'll be able to see the damage. that's a couple of weeks away yet.

dropped off the max today, said i should have it back in a week. can't wait to see the new paint and fresh uncracked bumper cover and know that the rails are treated, bent back, and lower door sills are straight and repainted and holes in floor boards are patched in and rad support is repainted and treated and passenger front door is painted. woot!!!

ummm, i don't have photo bucket anymore, how do i post pics now? oh and trust me, you'll know the difference when i get it back and post after pics. i have a few before pics, but nothing underneath, just the bumper and door. i wanted to get few shots underneath, but they had a car up on the lift.

you can kind of see the door paint around the window where i tried to fix it, also the rail under passenger door was bent up on that side as well. you can't see the bumper crack and all the peeling in that shot, ( i take good shots )

i went to like 6 or 7 shops, never called me back, wasted my time. ran into this guy outside a food store one night and got his card and went to the shop and he gave me some great prices for everything he's going to do. can't wait to see the fresh paint and have the rust treated and i have holes in the floor he's patching.

Where are the before pics of the damage? The paint looks amazing after all these years! How much was it to repair it?

well, front bumper is new, passenger front door is repainted, rockers repainted, and before pic of that is up a few posts. couldn't get a pic of underneath for you, forgot to yesterday and my mechanic was in a hurry. total for all the work was 830.00.

so, took maxy back into the body shop to fix a little list of things that should've been done. the guy went above and beyond and did a bunch of extra work like welding a piece of metal under the drivers door rail to reinforce where it was bent up from stupid mechanics and put a rubber section in under drivers side carpet from where there was a hole and did everything else as well. couldn't be happier with this shop. in case anyone near Pottstown pa want's to try him, the shops name is hc martin and the owners name is john. very professional and kim who answers the phone and does almost everything is awesome as well.

825.00 for what probably should've been 1,500.00 or more. gotta fix my other car soon too from an accident last year, psyched about getting that done.
