Check Engine Light is out.......

Hey, what's happening. I haven't posted in a couple weeks, but my last post was about my check engine light coming on. About a month ago I put an intake on my car and the check engine light came on a few days later. Anyway, today I was driving back to my school & I looked down and the light finally went out.

Happened to me twice already.

Like Str8ridin said, "Out of sight, out of mind." THE CE light going off is not something to worry about.

I have the same problem, my check engine light does not even turn on so I failed my inspection the other day. Do you know how to change the bulb or know what else may cause this??

Pull out the gauge cluster, replace the bulb, if there is even one in there.

Although the CEL is out, the error code could be stored in the ECU unless you reset it. You should use an OBD II reader to dump the codes.

Or you can do "Out of sight, out of mind" stuff.

Probally because it seems like a thread that belongs in the 4th gen forum...

It seems so...honestly who the hell makes a thread just to say that their CEL went off on it's own?

Oh, wait...half of the 4th gen forum seems to do that. The A32 section makes my pride for my car quickly disappear when I see half the stuff in here.

OT, OC and AM are become my frequent "hangouts" when I am on the .org.....With a few jaunts (sp?) to the 4th genny when the others are slow...

Oh and a little dabble in the 5th gen forum....
