95 Maxima overheating need help!

So I just picked up another Maxima because tranny went out on my 98 and body was rusted to hell. This 95 I got is completely rust free. Had a missfire, replaced 2 coil packs good now. I asked if it was overheating and of course buyer told me no. Driving it around I noticed the temp gauge was sitting at right about halfway which is a little hot. Cooling fans not coming on but both do work at low speed with ac on. Replaced relays and fuses, CTS, radiator with my 98 which was all in good working order. Still fans not working on their own. I unplug the CTS and they kick on high speed. Popped the top to the radiator and waited to see coolant flow inside radiator but it never happens. Thinking maybe bad thermostat replaced it too with Autozone duralast new one. Still no fans still slight overheat still no signs of flow in radiator. Thinking last ditch effort maybe water pump. Pain in the *** did it today new Autozone duralast one. Removing the old one I noticed it wasnt that old at all. Bearings were good and blades looked new so it looks like I did that job for nothing. Still not seeing coolant flow in the radiator. Only thing I havent done is buy the reverse flush kit. Can there be a block somewhere in my cooling system? Am I right to think that coolant flow over cts might be the cause of fans not kicking on? Need help. Thanks

So...hate to ask a stupid question but, "is there enough coolant even in it?"

ALSO: holy crap dude you just whipped out a water pump swap? That's a lot of work...what did the timing chain look like? How many miles on this car?

Topped off with coolant. Ya I would rather have the peace of mind instead of wondering about the water pump. Timing chain looked great. I bought the car for dirt cheap from a grandma who owned it for 18 years. 185k miles on the odometer but at some point in time a new motor was installed.

Air will enter the cooling system when we replace parts. The front of the car needs to be raised a foot or more to bleed the air out. Remove the radiator cap. Next run the car till it's warm. Blip the throttle a few times.

I've read that aftermarket thermostats cause problems. Oem Nissan is best.

You might try rigging the fans so that they run all the time whIle the car is on. If the temperature returns to normal, the problem is with the fans. If not, it's the cooling system.

Think I found a leak on the intake manifold. Been working feverishly cleaning up the interior. Switched passenger seat from non power to power. Replaced window regulators. Vac and steam clean carpets and floor mats. LED interior lights. Will keep you guys posted when I pull the intake off. Took it to a shop to test for head gasket and it passed the combustion gas test in radiator. Has a leak in the inner timing cover. Looks like a junkyard part that didnt work out. Thats it for now.
