Front Clears Question ??

Alright Ive had them since I got my Maxima and I think they would look a hell of alot better with clear bulbs in the front section...right now I have clear bulbs in the side ones but the fronts I have amber...How many of you guys run clear in the front ??

Is there a clear bulb that blinks the amber color? Just because if you put regular white ones in there you will not be able to see it during the day and might get some heat from the police that way.

Ehhhh, you mean hyper white? Or stock clearish (more like yucky white) color? I'd stick with the amber, I like the way the housing glows yellow because of the bulb.

If you really don't like it, I heard awhile back about bulbs that look cleat or silver? and put out a colored light...maybe look into that.

You could get Polarg "G series" bulbs! They have an amber bulb, that is kind of a chrome/amber color when not illuminated. Check it out! http://secure15.dellhost.com/~d30022...eries/g-07.jpg

I dont have a pic, but I just dusted all my amber bulbs with rustoleum silver metallic paint. It does a good job of masking the orange in the bulb, but still illuminates orange when you go to signal. I did this for my clear front blinkers, clear front markers and rear turn signal bulbs (cleared rear tails).

who cares what color they blink in the day.. how often do I actually use them, and how often do cops look at your blinkers during the day?
I'd rather take the risk of getting stopped for it, and have really nice looking hyperwhite blinkers.. I know its illegal, but so is a lot of the other stuff we do to our cars (Y-pipe for example)

But not only can the cops not see the blinker neither can other drivers. So if you signal they still cant tell and drive into you. You would be the first to complain that you had your signal on and they came at you anyway and hit ya on the side yada yada yada.

The clears look great up there. My blinkers are bright enough that they are very visible in full sun, and they are not really yellowish either. The sidemarkers though, those were pretty bad, so I got some brighter ones from Schucks, eurosomething 5 watt bulbs, and they are much whiter. They are really spiffy too if you rewire them, so they alternate white lights.

Currently I have hyperwhites in the side and ambers in front. I'm going to do the mod where both the signal and side light will light up together when you have your lights on and when you signal both will flash at the same time. I'm going to put amber bulbs in the front too this time, probably get some G-Series bulbs for that. Btw, the G-Series bulbs are awesome, I got them in my clearance lights, match up very well with my bright Nokya headlights. IMO, ambers don't look too bad. If you get the bright G-Series ones, I think it would look pretty good. I rather not have to put up with cops pulling me over just because of hyperwhite turn signals, then if you run into the wrong kind of cop, he'll probably try to see if he can write you up for anything else. I experienced that before, so no more of that for me.
