I was thinking about getting the mid wing when i first get my car, then i found out about the Type-II wing. thats what everyone wants. i think. Besides, Maxima's are more luxurious that sporty. people can argue those wings make them look a little ricey

Just my opinion. i am not putting them out or anything

I have no prob. In my own opinion i would not put them on my car cause to me it seems like it kills the look of the maxima. looks to me like it does not fit in with the rest of the cars look. Some people can style them and make it look good. Just my 2 cents.

Whoa...i searched the board for Type-II wings and looked at the pics...man those things are clean! They go with the rest of the car, while making the car sportier. What's the cheapest place I can get a Type-II?

Re: Why doesn't anybody have these spoilers?

no one has those spoilers cause they look nasty on a max..... that wing is made to be only on a supra( the 2nd one at least) , the first wing aint too bad, but i still think it doesnt go too well with the maxine (its makes her butt look too fat)

Wow... you actually did a search! Whew... thanks!

But Stillen was the only place that made the Type II and they've discontinued it.

Hey wait ... shouldn't you know this if you did a search!

Those type-IIs looked tight...why did they stop making them? Can I still find one somewhere?

They were discontinued because they didn't fit, there were mold issues. You can't really find the original anymore because everyone was sold out or warrantied to Stillen. Replicas may be available soon, some people are working on the project, but there are a few delays.

I would seriously like to see some ppl w/pics of a Supra wing on the max. I think it wouldn't look too bad on a good car like the max.

Give it a month or two. If all goes well, there will be at least one proud owner of a Supra-enhanced max.

That's kool shadow.

What kind of rim/tire/suspension setup do you have?

I think your Max is the best as far as exterior styling! Way to go dude.

DAMN I love your front end yellow!!! I still can't get over it, I get a little chill each and every time I see it. Anyway, I'll calm down now, back to the subject at hand... I had never seen your rear-end before. Thanks for the link. I was wondering what the mid wing with a light looked like on a white car. Your car is looking pretty tight. What's with the '95/'96 GLE stock wheels? Also, you HAVE to finish off your kit, you're so close. (and kill the pinstriping).

Looks real good.

Shadow, I have heard you say that your spoiler is a modified G20 wing. Am I remembering correctly? Well, I mean ABSOLUTELY no offense by this in the slightest bit but I have studied yours from many angles and I honestly can't tell a difference between yours and mine (the midwing that is made for and fits on our Maxima without modifying). Could you please explain what the difference(s) is exactly? Thanks.

Re: Re: Re: Re: :oI

The shape of the wing is slightly different. Mine is thruster wing made for the G20. It's a little lower, a little flatter, and a little longer. Very subtle differences. I didn't get the Maxima midwing because it was too round.

I think I'd sooner buy you some black GXE/SE trim pieces for you to put under your silver dash kit so we don't have to look at that fake woodgrain peeking out!

Yeah, I hear you. I aggonized long and hard over the spoiler purchase. Just like you said, I wish mine was a hair lower, the ends were a little more vertical, the 90^ was a little less rounded, the horizontal was flatter, and it didn't creep up the trunk so much. Oh well. Actually I was just stoked to find one without a light in it, that was a challenge.

How much modding did yours take to fit?

Speaking of spoilers, how are the type IIs coming? Thanks.

I'm sure not wasting my time reading a 3 page thread on ugly spoilers, but I'm guessing no one has them because they are *ta-daaaa* ugly?
