Who still makes 4th Gen Y pipes??
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know what company(s) still make Y pipes for the fourth generation Maxima's? I know that Warpspeed still does, however their pipe is not stainless steel, rather it is aluminized steel . On my old 1996, I had a Budget stainless steel Y pipe and it was simply excellent! It was still going strong after twelve years of harsh, salty winters. I don't think they still make them for the 4th gen cars. Are there any other companies out there that still make the Y pipes?
Thank you,
Zack

I am thankful that Warpspeed still cares about 4th gen Maximas. They helped me with the custom replacement catalytic converter for my '96 after a thief removed my original one. But I doubt there are many other companies still making exhaust parts for them.

I've been running Warpspeeds for years on both Maximas. When I get a new y-pipe, I prime and paint it with VHT header paint and use a torch to perform the heat curing process. There are some VHT user videos about using a torch to heat up and cure exhaust components. That's as good as I can get to stainless. It seems to help protect the flex pipe part the most. Note that I'm not in the rust belt and this is to help make the pipe easy to clean up.
