98 nissan maxima se transmission



Do yall know what this is? It's on the bottom of my transmission.

Looks like dirty transmission fluid from a leak.

Engine oil leak, either the rear main seal or more likely the rubber oil pan seal just below the RMS.

I was concerned when I first saw the "hole" probably 25 years ago. Yep, not to be concerned.
