To paint or not to paint ?

Hi -
it seems the paint coat is starting to to erode on my 98 maxima with very low mileage. Should I get my car painted ? Wrapped ? Or ideas on how can these spots be addressed ?

thanks in advance

Try these … in this order.

1st, apply this as any normal spray wax. Spray on, wipe.

Then apply this and let it sit until it disappears, then wipe it smooth.

I’m not thinking these will solve the issue as that paint is damaged, but I do think it’ll improve things maybe to the point you can live with it.

Regular applications are suggested too.

I'm in CA, and I have found that it is almost impossible to find a reputable body shop willing to do a full repaint on my Maxima if it does not involve collision bodywork also. It was an eye opening experience having shops tell me that.

there is no fixing this damage without sanding and painting.

I find that that the FL sun damaged clear coat on the rear bumper of my Crimson Blaze ‘99 is improved substantially to the point that, if you didn’t know, you wouldn’t notice.

I also find that I’m compelled to do my reapplications approximately once every couple of, maybe once every three, months or so.

No question that that paint is notably damaged and can’t be ‘fixed’ without the full repaint process. But, as stated, the use of these products might improve things to the point that OP can live with it.

And everybody surely notices that fine piece of furniture everywhere you drive it! Especially with that lemony fragrance arriving before you do! LOL
Next, you'll be using Italian Salad Dressing for tire shine!

But if it works.... Hell Yeah!

Honestly, although I’ve not tried it, I’ve read that olive oil is an effective tire ‘dressing’.

The vinegar in the Italian dressing just makes the tires more tender!
