whats goin on guys...i'm gonna be getting some shoes for my max this summer...i just wanted to see what the overall consensus is on rim types...do u guys prefer the alloys or chrome and for what reasons?..thanx for the help...paaaaayce

 

What do you want? I like alloy , but weight is my reason.

Just remember , when your driving your car , do you like the rims on it?

 

it all depends on what you like really...and whether you want to race with them or you want them for looks...chromes would be kinda heavy to race with, but they would look real nice, especially if you have a dark exterior, especially black, which i'm assuming you have by your username...but alloys would be the way to go based on price and weight i think

 

Definately alloy. Go fast but don't attract the attention.

im having my Monsoons outer lip re-polished to get rid of some chips for this show season along with getting new rubber for them as well, probably TOYO's 235/45/17's

 

I have the Kantan C-5's. They have the polished lip but the rest of the rim in grey. I like them because they draw attention to my car but not too much! Also they make my max look really clean.

 

show season ohh yeah I'm getting ready too....I have one coming up at the end of March.....

 

Just an idea, but for a black max, have you ever considered the black opal finish from Konig? Not too heavy, looks very tight.

i got 17" black opal konig rythms and they look sick. ive had old ment to kids compliment them, they are sporty but are classy on a max. good combo. theyre hard to find

 

if your on a budget.......or u just want good looking rims get sum alloy 5-8 spoked rims - those look best on a max
