Chip for Maxima

I found a website in Australia that says they can chip the maxima. I could not find any info if this would work on North American cars or just the ones down under.

Does anyone know if it would work in my 98 GXE automatic?
Is it worth it about $1000 Aussie dollars. That is $500us.

In standard form, the Nissan Maxima 3.0 V6 produces 142 Kw, however the addition of a Powerchip Gold will increase the power to 160 Kw. In addition to the extra power, the torque is also increased. The Maxima 3.0 V6 produces 278 Nm standard, and this is increased to 305 Nm This means more pulling power especially up hills.

They have a chip that is 164Kw I think that is 220HP, not sure about how to convert the torque.

I tried to contact them through their website but it is a big pain in the **** and I kept getting errors. i don't understand why they just don't give out a bloddy email address. Poor Design!!

Anyway any help would be appreciated,
Mark

Thats because the only place that has maxima's is the US. Everywhere else it is packaged as the I-30. Same car though.

I would ask for details on what exactly they change. If it is just air fuel ratio, you may get a little more power but not much. Be sure of what changes are being made is the message here.
