Anybody out there know if they make 96 GXE indiglo kits? Seems like they only make them for the SE if there is even a difference.

they may say SE, but they will work on your car just fine. I got mine and they are working just fine. I have a 95 GLE...good luck.

the only difference is that you can use the screws with SE models, the gle and gxe models just require u to use some double sided tape or glue

What do you mean use the screws? The gauges I got were advertised for an SE and didn't have any pilot holes for the existing screws. I had to do it myself. So the gauges don't come with it ready anyway, but you are correct in that a lot of people here have used either double sided tape or some kind of glue.

u have screwed a hole thru ur existing indiglo and it has not damaged the indiglo gauges themselves????

issue with 98..

i think the original point has been missed. the 97 gauges will not work on a 98 because 98s have a single digital odometer, not two analog meters. also, on the 98s, the fuel gauge points towards the center of the gauge cluster, not to the left as in the 95-97s. hope this clears up the original quesiton.

yeah but..

even if the fuel gauge points in the right direction the speedometer gauge is going to be different. the 97 has two slots in the speedo, one for the odometer above the needle and one for the trip meter below the needle. the 98, on the other hand, has a single slot, for the digital readout below the needle. i have a 98 se, and trust me, i've been looking for gauges too. i tried e-mailing InitialK Concepts, the comapAny that makes them for the 97s to see if they are working on a set for our cars, but the e-mail keeps getting sent back to me. if you have any luck, please post your finds or e-mail me.
