switched the CAI to the hybrid

after readin cumalots thread i decided id try it out for myself. I have the place racing CAI and all i had to do was take out the lower pipe then take the lower pipe off of the 4 bolted piece that connects to the MAF, simply put the filter onto that little adaptor and i was set. All i can say is anyone with a 5speed who has the CAI try this out , the high end is absolutely sick, this + the y pipe is too much for me, im hittin 70 at 5.5k on the tach. im keepin this setup and am going to try adding different things to it, any questoins just ask, luv it!!

Would this work for autos too? (I would think so, but I'm just asking since you only said 5-spds).

from what ive heard there is just too much of a low end loss with autos, thats why the CAI is better for you, lots of low end

indeed

I'm going to be making a custom intake like this myself and possibely selling it to you guys, you can have either the setup that NotNew!!NewSN is talking about or even better

I made an intake that is LITERALLY SICK, I moved the battery over and put a bend in the piping (did this myself) and right now the filter is looking forward the front of the car, it's right behind the headlight, that's where the original intake was (close to it) so now as high speeds I'm getting more air then the guys w/ CAI and the guys who converted the CAI into the hybrid

Vinipux

p.s. let me know if there is interest, so I can make some for you guys

*added*
p.s.2 ask MaxPerformanceSE or Sudz about the intake, they heard it during a meet, it's LOUD

Yeah I saw and heard Vinipux's intake during the December meet. It sounds very loud and deep. It knocks the wind out of you!

OK that was an over-exaggeration but you know what I mean.
