Question for those with Walbro

Hi

I installed my Walbro about a week ago. At first the idle was really high. Then I disconnected the TPS, set the idle, reconnected the TPS and reset the ECU. The ECU then gave me a running rich error code 114. I repeated the reset procedure again and the code went away. Then the next day when I drove, the idle was back up at 900 rpm again. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this normal?

Thanks

Have you checked your plugs? If not, check them and tell us if you are running rich. BriGuyMax replaced his stock pump with a walbro, and promptly ran WAYYYY rich because his FPR (Fuel pressure regulator) was either on its way out, or couldn't handle the increased capacity of the walbro pump. He replaced his FPR with a nice SARD FPR from Thomas aka SX7R and his car is running like a champ now.

It wouldn't surprise me if I were running rich. I do not have an FPR right now but will be putting one on soon. My car is in the shop for the Turbo right now so I can't check the plugs immediately. I will check the next time I am there.

Will this affect my idle? I also watched my fuel consumption for the last week. It has gone up slightly (ie uses more gas) but not a whole lot.
