Sup Board I just bought a 97 Max on Tuesday and I was wondering if anyone have done the dyno charts for the Max. I really want to know how much hp is at the wheel. Thanks in advance.

 

I've seen ~5 dynos for stock 4th gen manuals (95-98s). They were all ~155-163 HP at the wheels. Autos run ~8 HP less at the wheels due to greater drivetrain losses.

Modified 95-98 5spds with intake, ypipe, exhaust, and cat (basic normally aspirated mods) run ~182-192 HP at the wheels from what I've seen.

 

I have a auto 99 SE. I had my car dynoed at STILLEN during there open house and I think that they had messed up on my car because the max power I recieved was 159.8 and max torque was 161.9. I know that has to be wrong. Look at my sig for my upgrades. N E one else have this also?

Actually those are good numbers. When we did our houston group dyno back in 11/99, Hector and Emma's stock 97 auto maxima's did 145-147hp/156-158lb-ft. Meanwhile Zprime's stock auto 95se did 150hp/162lb-ft. I believe Biomax did 181hp in his modded 5spd max. If you were to compare the charts you could see the difference between Zprime's dyno and Hector/Emma's dyno. Remember the auto loses 10-15hp/8-15lb-ft over a 5spd.
