Racing Straight Pipe

two questions about a racing straight pipe
1) Is it worth it?
2) Does it really add 9-16 hp?

Straight pipe aka test pipe just replaces the cat. convertor. I don't know about 16hp gain. 5hp is more realistic.

1999 Cail-spec and 2001+ do not have an O2 sensor on/after the cat. No check engine light with a straight pipe on my car. The one above is not off ebay. Mine is made out of stainless steel with aluminzed flange.

I bouth the racing straight pipe of e-bay and was very happy with it. I totally eliminates the cat. And it is very inexpensive. Go for it. Nice sound also. Kinda a hollow sound.

So does it mean a test pipe like yours won't fit/work on Maximas with the 02 sensor?

The one I ordered off ebay had a spot for the o2 sensor.

I got mine custom made, but i'm pretty sure you can get it with an O2 bung on it.
