High and Low beams

Ok... here's the deal.

I got a high output headlight wiring harness and a new set of 130W Xenon bulbs. I have everything installed and the lights work. It's strange though.

When I turn my lights on, they turn on fine... but my brights indicator in the cabin comes on very dimly.

When I switch to brights... the brights indicator comes on full power, but the brightness of my headlights don't change.

I have checked the wiring and double checked and everything is connected fine.

I even went to maximadriver.com and double checked the connection methods... and they are the same as Cheston's how-to.

Has anyone had this problem before? Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks!

Hmm...I don't know what exactly is going on. Sorry if it doesn't help you that much. But the purpose of having high-beams is less about light output and more about the aiming of the light so that it shines farther down the road. If the aiming of the light isn't working, them i'm not sure what is going on. Try your stock bulbs to see if they switch filaments/hot spot of headlight beams. If they do, then something's up with the bulb. If they aren't, then the current in your harness controller (the stock harness) isn't going to the right plug. Prob the best way to fix the problem is to list as much information as possible, even if it doesn't seem that important. See how the stock bulbs do and go from there.

if you are talking about the brightness control, right of the steering wheel, well, that is to control the brightness of the interior lights, i.e. gauge lights, climate control lights, etc. It is had nothing to do with the brightness of the exterior lights, in your case, the headlights.

Assuming you've checked what danny's_max had stated >>

Then your problem is either with the relays or with the fact that you may have ordered a harness designed for the 9007 bulb or the Toyota version of the 9004 harness. Check your part numbers.
