I cleaned my throttle body as per instructions in the fourm. After I did it, my Service Engine Soon light came on.

I did a search and could not find anyone else who had this problem which lead me to belive that the light should not come on.

ANyway, can someone help? Is this suppose to come on? I let the engine choke out when I had the butterflys open is this the prob? Should I just reset the light and go on my merry way?

May have tripped CEL when you disconnected one or more of the intake sensors... Get the code(s) and reset.

Just double check to make sure everything is connected. Reset the ecu and see if it comes back on if it does diagnose the code and see what it is. I think the better way of cleaning the TB is not to have the engine choke. Just spray cleaner on a clean rag and clean it with that.

get the code. i'm interested to know what it was. hopefully it was just something that wasn't connected.
