RE: Tune up

Hello,

I know this has been posted before, I guess I must have missed the posting regarding tune up.
Anyway, here goes, What does a tune up esentially consists of, and should I go to a Nissan dealer or
my own mechanic?

Should the transmission and radiator be changed also?

I have little over 34 K on a 99 max.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

At your mileage, just change the oil & fuel filter. Then drain and fill the trans if automatic.

That's all. Nothing else but oil changes are required until 60k miles. You can and should do all these services yourself.

34K tune up. Change your air filter and clean your throttle body. Total cost - about 25 bucks.

Instructions for throttle body cleaning are at. www.motorvate.ca

If your an Automatic trans, you should get that fluid changed as well.

Other then that, just drive it another 30K and come back and we'll tell you whats involved at 60K.

D'oh!!

I forgot air filter!

I like to think everyone has a K&N that they keep nice and clean, like me.
