My friend has a 1997 GXE, and the needles are white. Where the orange needles an option?

I don't know much about this; so take it easy on me. Is it possible that the SE's had the white needles to match the white faces, while the other trim levels had the white on blacks w/ orange needles?

Acutally, i am pretty sure its a mid year change. I have white needles in my 97 GXE and my cousin has orange ones. Same year and trim.

orange needles on white face gauges doesn't sound like it would look good I have the white face gauges but actually like the black face gauges better. Maybe I've had the white faced ones too long. Oh well.

All SE's from 1997-99 and All GXE/GLE's from 1998-99 had the reddish orange needles. The 97 GXE/GLE's had the white, I just ran and looked at the brochures from each year.

Where they on the net or do you just keep them for some reason?

I second that. Besides, wouldn't it be difficult seeing white needles on white faced speedo of the SE ?

i know 97 gle has white. personally i think it looks better than red on my 98. white matches the clear corners esp. if you have a white car
