made my own custom intake for free! well, sorta, have a few questions...
please go to this website where the pictures are..

Where does #1 go?
What is #2?
It sounds good, a deep rumbling when I get on it.. not sure if it makes me any quicker. It shouldn't hurt anything the filter and all is still there.

1 connect to a resontor in the front fender, no worries.
2 is also a resonation chamer. but it is connected after the MAF, so if you remove it, you will need to cover the hole left on the intake duct
Search for OSCAI. This involves attaching a hose to 1 and running it out the bottom of the engine bay through the splashguard for fresh air. By removing that long tube, all you have done is forced the engine to breath hot air, as opposed to the cool air it was getting from the front grill. I know it's loud now, but you probably arent making any more power.

I just (tonight) ordered a CAI to take care of the intake situation. Hate to see my MPG after I install it!
