my crew and i were just chilling at expo center (where all the cars go and chill)
this white crew were sitting next to us and this wrx wanted a race...
fastest car there was me so they picked on me for a min
saying how he'll give me 4 car length and blah blah
i told him to go on highway since u guys said there is a chance of me pulling at the end
cops were all over the place and we never got to race..
but i bet next friday... they gonna be there waiting for me...
so tell me some ref?

I think your supposed to turn your overdrive on at 80-110. Between there.

 

Even if you do turn off your OD and then turn it back on I doubt it will make enough difference to boost your time to beat a WRX.

 

sorry bro...wrx is too crazy...only chance you'll have is a rolling start around 30 mph...cause thats where he has to shift and u dont...till about 55 is when he should fly on bye.......GOOD LUCK

 

i take the opportunity to drive my dad's WRX whenever i possibly can. i think it's better to race from a dead stop because it's very difficult to launch w/out bogging. unless he launches absolutely perfect, he's toast. just MAKE SURE you get the jump on him at the start since you have an auto. if you race on the highway he might be in a lower gear (3rd) with the boost already on. seems like he will flat out hand you your rear end. do a standing start my friend and challenge his driving skills instead.

 

i test drove one, here are my feelings. rev it to 4k drop clutch, slight chirp and you are on your way. but the car feels like it is out of breath on the highway. i would love to drive one with 3" turboback exhaust and intake. open up the top end and that car is nuts. mike

 

I wouldnt even bother racing one. If the guy is skilled enough, he is out. Even is he is iffy on 5spds, he will still get the jump.

I have been on the Scooby board for awhile & the guys are pulling some crazy times. Guys are pulling 14.3-14.1 w/ 1.9 60fts stock. You'll be lucky to even pull a 2.2 60ft on a auto.

Im not saying dont race him, but i would just for fun. Racing cars & having your own crew is all about fun right?

I hang with a hung of asians most of the time ... but when we meet up with other people, we never call them "the white crew".

Maybe "the ricer crew" or the "dumba$$ crew" or the "god damn your cars are so damn ugly and ricey crew" ... but never ... "the white crew".

my friend almost bought a WRX so we went to the dealer. he wanted an auto but the dealer guy said that they were so slow in comparison to the 5 spd that they had only sold 3 that year. he suggested we drive the outback station wagon to get a feel for how fast it would be. HA HA.

Maxima is toast from a stop, unless you have a supercharger or all the bolt ons and shift like a speeding robot.

 

A lot of the guys are running mid 14's in the auto trim.

Lemme tell ya, last month in SA, I ran a WRX a few times, he ran some 13.2's that night with 1.5 60' times. Unless you can catch up BIGTIME, you are in trouble.

Me neither. At first I didn't want to comment on this. White crew, Yellow crew...whatever! Who cares. I'm Asians and I have a mixture of friends. I'm usually cool with most people, unless they're not cool with me, then...I don't care if they Yellow, White, or Polkadotted.

I, being a white person, have no problem with him saying "white crew." If them being white was the only way to distinguish them, meaning they had the same types of cars, mods, etc, what's wrong with him saying "white crew". Sure he could have said "other crew" but why are people taking such offense to it?
