I was wondering if anybody could tell me whether 225/40/18 sized wheels would fit on my 96 Maxima? Im getting a REALLY could deal ($500) from my friend and they are used Katanas. Advice: should i hold out and save up for new rims or get these?

Do a search... you should use 235 or even 245 if the rim is at least 7.5" or 8" wide respectively

i agree with chunger.

I have 235/40/18 katana Spazios chrome and they're 7.5" wide, they fit just fine. theres a little shaking after 70mph but, i'm going to get them re-rotated, re-mounted and get the front aligned.

btw what kind of katanas are you getting.

I used 225/40/18 on my 7.5"s, and had no problems.
