Good Deal Or Bad Deal
Hey guys, I'm new to Maximas, I used to drive a 95 Eclipse 5 spd. and I had to get ride of it cause it had too many problems + i needed more room, lol. I just bought a 99 Maxima SE, automatic, with 34K miles, all possible options except for heated seats and traction control. I payed 11,000. Is that a good deal? Will I have any problems with Maxima like I had with dsm?

Welcome!
Mitsubishi went through some tough times where quality control is concerned (I don't know the exact period) but the new Mitsubishi products have had their acts cleaned up quite a bit.
The '99 Max is a good vehicle - you should expect relatively trouble-free operation if you drive modestly and stick to the maintenance schedule. Even some guys here who flog their Max's pretty hard have had pretty good reliability. The bottom line is, you're starting off with a pretty high quality package for a car in it's class.
Price depends on where you are located & availability in your local market, but generally 11k seems like a pretty reasonable price depending on how hard it was "stuffed" in the rear and how bad the damage was.
Enjoy!

Yeah, I checked out carfax and it looks like I'm the second owner, it doesn't say anything about the accident, or the car being salvage, or a lemon. I didnt have time to do lot of research before i bought the car because i needed a car really bad. Thats why I'm asking about maxima after i bought it.
P.S I'm glad I got ride of my Eclipse, even thou it had 20K miles, I had to get a new tranny, power steering pump, oil pressure sensor, new radiator, all of that withing 6 months. Hopefully nothing like that will happen to my new maxi, DSM already drained my pocket a lot. lol
