ummm....what exactly are you talking about? BTW, correct me if I'm wrong, but the SMX was only a 96 model. They make an aero kit for the 97-99, but its not the SMX.

you can install redlining by strapping lead weights to your foot.

my bad

i am refering to shift ligts. my max is stock and last night i was racing my friends-1 guy has a 2000mustangV6 and my other friend has a 97eclipse/basic bolt ons. my rev limiter was cutting because i couldnt hear my engine, its too quiet and plus my system was on LOUD.
oh and if you are wondering me and the stang are always neck and neck because we both cant launch correctly. the eclipse is just fun to race. we couldnt really go at it because some probs happened to it.

There are several different ones out there, ranging from $35 to however much you wanna pay. I am definetly going to get one. I doubt they are hard to install, the instructions looked pretty simple. How about getting an intake? You can def. hear your engine with an intake!

shift light took about an hour to install. you just have to tap into the tach lead(either behind the gauge cluster or i did mine at the ECU harness). i thought it was worth it becuase i have a switch to turn off the speed governor but when i use the switch my tach doesn't work. so that's where the shift light comes into play. the y-pipe increases noise slightly.

A while back I raced a 96 Max with just a CAi in it. I just had the Stillen intake and my jump was a lot quicker than his... If this is how it is then I think i'm just going to stay with my Stillen Cone and not even bother spending the dough on the CAI. I might just get the piece that eliminates that worthless box. I think it goes for like $120 for that extension,

You can save urself $120 by making a midpipe yourself. I did it, its loud as f*ck and it gives good top end gains. The parts will cost you about $15-20 and this can be done easily if you have any mechanical talent.

If you want to save money just get the MAF sensor adappter and filter. That set up makes a decent growl.
