5speed to auto conversion

how easy is it to go do an 5 speed to auto conversion and what will u need to make this work thanks i need info asap im gonan do this

it's pretty hard, i myself have not done this but i do have the instructions for this procedure and it does seem very hard. But if you know what you're doing, have an extra ~1500 lying around and a day to spend doing this here you go. Auto-->5 speed instructions
i suggest you look over them thoroughly before doing anything becuase you wouldn't want to mess up your max

Now there is a guy after my own heart. Can I come and help you do the swap? Probably a lot of manuel transmission guys interested in the details of this, should take pictures etc and write it up as a sticky. Should become very popular. Actually maybe we could make up a swap kit a market it for $500 or $600. This is going to be big I can feel it.

I sorry for asking this again, but I didn't see my first post on the the forum. Do I need to change the ECU when I do the conversion(I'm doing it in the summer after I finsh buying all the parts)?

you'd be better off asking HLH0501 (via PM or e-mail) ... he's the one that did the conversion and be the best to ask about that

i did not even realize it .. but you want to do a 5spd to auto conversion i thought you wanted to do a auto to 5 spd conv. .. but if you still need help i'll help out, provided you're close to NYC
