I have a universal cat back exhaust on my maxima and i have about $400 to spend right about now and there is a lot fo stsuff to consider buying. But i was talking to a few people and it sounds like a y-pipe is the best in vestmente is if i want power. Im not exactly sure wherethis y pipe goes and what it does, but i am looking for more power and to be lowder. So is this really worth getting on a maxima? Thanx Maxperformance

 

what kind of "universal cat back exhaust" do you have? the y-pipe comes of off the engines exhaust manifolds and dumps into the main cat. check stillen.com or cattman.com. yes its worth it.

It's good for around 10-15 hp AT THE WHEELS.
It's one of the best performance parts for the price.

It removes the precats on the stock Y-pipe and makes the air flow much more efficient. So it should add some volume to your exhaust and it will make more power.
