Suggetsions on color for calipers

I know this is a frequently asked question but what color do you think i should paint my callipers if i have a black 96 maxima. I was thinking either red blue or black. Do you have any other colors that look good?

Black...

You should go with black, my friend painted his white M3's caliper black and they look sweet. I can't imagine how good they would look on a black car. I painted mine "cast aluminium" (silver) because I didn't want them to stand out but they were too ugly and hard to clean while unpainted. It looks good, like I always have new calipers. But I still think you should go with black...

well it really depends what color are you going with on the whole car. Like somepeople go with blue add ons and keep with it, somepeople just paint it a color. I have red calipers on my dark evergreen and it looks nice. YOu should go with a blue shade.

Just ask Home Depot for what's already mixed up and left over.

That's how I got green ones

My calipers are black and it really does hide the dust well. I liked black because it's painted but isn't obvious like blue or red. I also used barbeque grill paint which is black, cheap, readily available, and very hi temp

Black 4 me, too

Went w/ High temp gloss finish Caliper paint from Pep Boys. $6. Looks sharp, clean - hides the dust pretty well.

Definitely remove as much of it as possible b4 painting. Use brake parts cleaner (in aerosol can) and a small stainless steel bristle brush to thoroughly clean the calipers.

Do a search for "painting calipers" & you'll find a complete how-2.

I have a black max w/ black rims and painted my calipers blue. Really don't see them w/ winter tires on, but in the summer I think they look great. Black and blue is my entire color scheme so that was an easy choice. What other colors do you have on your car? Maybe a yellow would look sporty? I really like the blue, red is pretty common. ALso, I used the FoliaTec stuff and love it. I would recommend it over the spraypaints for a better finish, but obviously the spray paints go on easier.
BTW, when I pull up to a light I love to see the other people starring at my brakes - it's pretty funny. They get all caught up....

I've got a black max and the previous owner painted the calipers (and the shims ) silver. Its okay, but I don't really like it. They are going to be painted black this summer.

I had a blue max before this one and painted the calipers red. It was okay, but I've decided that I'd rather not have them stand out.

Paint them yellow if you like cleaning your calipers often

My max is pebble beige metallic....with the momo sport wheels in bright fleck silver alloy I painted my calipers a deep blue...blue sort of imparts a feeling of precision machinery,,,,nice combination, but the choice is personal. Go with whatever color compliments the car color and wheels.....

As far as cleaning....duct removal, when i rotate wheels I brush off the calipers, touch up if needed and wipe down.

Yeah, yellow may be a problem for really dusty pads. When my summer rims are on, the calipers are so easy to clean, I don't even consider it a chore. PLus, it's my baby. I think also that the FoliaTec stuff I used creates a better finsih for the calipers. It goes on thicker than spray paint and actually kinda smooths out the calipers texture/finish. Because of that, dirt doesn't really get a chance to bite into the caliper and take hold.

I painted my calipers blue, this is my recomendation. Make sure you adeqaute prep work on the paint will run. Get special caliper paint-pep boys, also try painting your lug nuts the same color, I did this, makes it look even more unique.
