Y-Pipe?

This might be stupid to you guys but I gotta ask it cause I dunno. What's the diff between the Y-Pipe and the B-Pipe like, when you get cat back exhaust does that include the B-Pipe or Y-Pipe or whatever someone just explain it all please? Isn't one from the headers to the cat and the other from the cat to the muffler or what?

This is your exhaust system:

Y-pipe=====Catalytic converter=====B-pipe=====Muffler

A cat-back exhaust replaces the B-pipe and muffler, hence it's called a CAT(alytic converter)-BACK exhaust.

There's not such thing as a stupid question.
