TO ALL ORG MEMBERS WITH STILLEN REAR SWAY BAR: I was rotating my wheels this weekend and was shocked to see that the flexible portion of the rear brake lines was chafing and wearing away due to contact with the inboard nuts and bolts used to clamp the sway bar to the frame.

Fortunately I caught this in time...only the rubber covers had been cut and worn away. However the inner braid of the brake line was exposed. I had this RSB installed by Stillen themselves and am surprised the did not adust for this interference.

Inspect you brake lines immediately if you have this set-up. It can be corrected by moving the sway bar clamps forward.

Be safe on mods...trust nothing, believe nothing until you inspect everything. My brakes and lines are OEM....

This problem has been discussed before, and as recently as last week. I reversed the bolt that was touching the brakeline so that the exposed threads were on the otherside of the bracket.

I actually got it from someone on here last year.

Reversed offending bolts last night, wrapped lines in neoprene hose as a sheath and secured with plastic pull ties. This is the way to go without moving the sway bar.
