Ever wonder?

Anybody ever notice whenever Nissan starts its new generation of vehicles, that the 3rd,4th, and 5th years always look better than the first two? For example, the '97, '98, and '99 Maximas have a much better facelift and rear tail than the '95 and '96, IMOH. Furthermore, the 2002 Maxima have a much sleeker look than the previous 2000 and 2001. One would think, that after a new generation comes out, that one has to have one. But me, on the other hand, now learning from experience, that I'm going to wait until the third and most recent year of production on buying. But, don't get me wrong, I LOVE my '95 Maxima when it first came out. It was, like, I HAD to buy it because it was a newer style. But, I wish I would have waited until at least the '97 's came out because, in my opinion, they are much better looking than the '95 and '96. Right now, I'm glad I waited until the 2002 Max's came out, because I'm thinking of giving my '95 a little "friend". I LOVE Maximas and I'm going to keep on buying them! What do you guys think?

Agree

My girl and I were passing a couple of 2002's today on the beltway . She said how much better the 2002's looked than the Y2Ks and 01's. Gotta say too, I love my 98 cause the more aggresive lines than the earlier 4th Gens.

BTW - anyone know when Nissan moved the rear brake lights under the turn signal and reverse lights on the 4th Gens?

I have to agree also, when I first saw the 2000. I just knew it was a sign of the end of the world. Then they changed it up in 2002. It looks a lot better, but I'm holding off till that next generation. God willing my 99 last.

Car companies do mid-generation freshening to keep people interested without designing a whole new car.

It's all planned from the beginning, usually.

What type of big boy? I'm just waiting on some information of the New New 5 Series.
