Re: SC cost>
The SC cost's $3350 un-installed and usually $3600 installed as for power gains Stillen quated 85 more Horse Power at the flywheel and 44 ft/lbs more torque at the wheels.As for finding places to ordor parts check your local speedshop or look at the maxima org links.

Hey Jr, I'd suggest looking down below in the region forums and see if you can find someone local. I'd bet someone not to far from you has either a supercharger or a cai y piped car. Lookem up and go for a ride that'll help you decide. Anyhow that's my "sage" advice.

Supercharger has been problematic -->
A lot of people here who have the Stillen SC for their Maximas have had major problems after install. It seems like Stillen has not completely tested out the bugs for the setup yet. It's not a total failure, but not anywhere near as reliable as the aftermarket turbos for other import cars like Tegs or Civics.
No problems with my SC
I have had it for a little while and there has been no problems with it whatsoever. I think that it may have something to do with the way the V2 supercharger kit is setup as the V1's have had significantly lees complaints about it. I personally have a V1 kit.
Newbie engine mod questions
Be aware that there aren't any mods available for the Maxima that will substantially boost the bottom end torque (anything below 3000RPM)... All of the typical mods are only effective to more noticeable extents at higher RPMs... Even the supercharger only works above 3500RPM because centrifugal superchargers are essentially belt-driven turbos so they have the same lag issues...
I contacted Whipple Superchargers (www.whipplesuperchargers.com) and they told me they have a compressor that would be well suited for the Maxima engine but no intake kits fabricated specifically for the Maxima. Size contsraints may be a problem too with that type of supercharger but it might be worth looking in to...

Hey justin...
I got this off your website, please explain, how to, is it safe to do etc.
The 1-2 shift is similar to disconnecting that gray switch in the engine compartment that controls the line pressure to the AT (those that have disconnected it know what I'm talking about). Now after about a week of driving the shifts have broken in more and are now quick and crisp but not harsh or hard.
