i don't know if you guys know about this or not but jetchip can mod your chip for 399.00. +15 horsepower. i have not called them for details but they replyed to my email and said that they could do my 98 , i would have to send in my chip, etc.,, thats about the price of a downpipe, s/s. a downpipe and a chip will give you 30 horsepower for about 800$. brilliant deduction, watson. http://www.jetchip.com

I called them twice asking for

some information on the chip mod for the Maxima...
They promised to send me some info/dyno figures...
No response both times... That's enough for me to NEVER buy anything from them... if there was ever a problem with their product...do you think they solve it?

I'd go with the UPRD ECU upgrade that Cheston is working on...

REWARD the dealers that listen and care about customers or Potential customers...

my 2 cents

Hay Chunger I was going to say the same thing,

but he has a 98 and the UPRD ecu only works on 95-97,
But know that I am here I might as well comment,I do not recomend the JetChip for 2 reasons one being that I read a huge report on add on chips {unlike the UPRD ECU which reprograms and chips} and they did dyno's of all different chips including the JetChip and they saw little or negative power gain/loss ,a few cars {can't remember the application} with auto trany's picked up as much as a whopping 2.3 HP gain and on all of the cars tested that had manual tranys they actual lost HP.My second reason is I installed a JetChip in my old 91 Explorer and soon after I had a terrible knocking problem for the first 10 minutes after each cold start up,To tell you the truth though it seemed to make the Explorer a bit quicker most likely my amagination though.

Dont go with the JET chip. THey make it for 95-99s. Or atleast i saw it from an ad. They found out that sometimes the JET made you drop in power. THey tested that o na Honda w/ basic bolt-on parts. Anyone if better off w/ the JWT or UPRD (i think that is spelled right) ECU. They give you pretty big gains, better then JET can ever claim.
