SE Tires on GXE/Speedo Conversion?

Can you swap the stock GXE tires with SE tires and still have your speedometer/odometer still reading true? I'm not sure if the diameters are the same. I think a diameter change affects the speedo.

I also have that same question. Could you switch out the GLE for the SE rims and wheels. Is their a calabration for it or do you have to go to the dealer and have them program the computer?

One more...does any one have a set of SE wheels for sale?

Thanks
Frank

But if you are going to shell out that kind of money you might as well get some after market rims.

Yes, the speedo is affected, and generally a 2% difference is considered tolerable. Many trucks run 5-10% bigger than stock.

There's a tire/wheel calculator here:
http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi You enter the base 'stock' tire size and it lets you compare to other sizes and how much bigger or smaller they are from stock.

Do the math. If you swap your GXE wheels (assuming it's 205/65/15) with SE wheels (215/55/16), the diameter changes from 25.49" to 25.31". When your speedometer shows 60mph, you are actually at 59.6mph. When your speedometer shows 100mph, you are actually at 99.3mph. Will that be such a big deal to you? Even if you keep your stock wheels, the speedometer is usually off by a little anyways.
