What are the benefits of having both the b-pipe and y-pipe combo? I also heard the combo is ridiculously loud.

I dont have both of them but they do create more noise. THe best thing would be to get the Y-pipe and use a R/T Cat and leave the stock B-pipe and Muffler in. THis is still quiet but gives you big gains.

Got the y-pipe a month ago. Only a bit more noise (except for a leak at the Cat connection).

Replacing the b-pipe shortly (if FedEx ever get's here today). I'll compare after that and post here again.

Couple of drivers said no real gains (only 1-3hp) in swapping the b-pipe. I'm doing it a) to get rid of the crimp restriciton b) get rid of that HUGE resonator that can bottom out

I got both

I have had got the stillen B-pipe and y-pipe along with R\T cat and a stillen exhaust for about a year now and it really is not that loud. Between 2-3 on the tach it does groan but that sound is so sweet anyway. Go for them both to get the most ponies possible, especially getting rid of that darn resonator on the stock b-pipe. It definately is louder then stock but not anything annoying......but then again i do have a 3000 watt stereo system always thumping.

I'm picky about noise. So I just run the y-pipe with stock exhaust. I may get the RT cat in the future. But I would suggest you find someone in your area with the setup or get someone to make you a sound clip. It depends if you are picky about sound though. I really don't like my car rumbling along all the time. I don't need to announce that my car is comming or whatever. The only time I want anyone to notice my car is when I'm kicking their butts! WOT.. =)
