I know it is available. I cannot remember the site that had them but looks around on the typical spoiler sights. Maybe they have some. I think some are places like spoilers4less.com and things to that regard. I think the price was around 40 dollars.

Do you mean clear as in: emits white light when you step on the brake?

If so, I hope for your own sake & that of those you share the road with, you're not planning on using this on the street. My bet is you'd go no more than a week before you get cited for it, if you do any night driving.

Idon't think so. I've seen these somewhere and it is clear w/red LED's. A sort of Altezza spoiler light if you will.. But the ones i saw did not fit on the stock spoiler - had 4 mounts instead of the stock 3. If anyone can find a place that has it for a stock, I'd like to know about it too. I tried to fix the annoying rattle in mine but now it's warped from heating it too much.

I bought an LED bar from electrodyne.com for about $35 shipped. It featured a clear lens with 35 red LED's. 3 hole mounting for a perfect fit!

what's the length?

Perfect fit for a 95 SE stock spoiler? sweet! what's the length, 15.5" or is it different?

Incidently, you have to look up brake lights to find it. I kept typing spoiler light in the search but i couldn't get anywhere.

i think we need to see this installed or atleast confirmed by someone thats it fits. Because i just look at it and its a 3 hole, with 30 led's light. didnt measure it but some one else did.

So lets make sure this fits before we get all exited about it and start setting up a group deal.

OIC, that could be cool!

When I get around to it, I'm going to spray-tint (smoke) and clearcoat my tail-lights and maybe I'll do the spoiler LED while I'm at it. (Not super dark - just enough to minimize the orange turn signal lense)

Good luck!

I have this part

I purchased this item because my stock LEDs stopped working. I had to wait for almost 2 months for this part because it was backordered from the manufacturer, just like the Sprints that i'm waiting for, and the Apex exhaust i just got

anyway, to answer your questions.. no it does not directly fit the stock spoiler. Stock has 3 tabs, this has 4. None of the tabs are going to match up, not even the outmost two. What I did was cut off all 4 tabs so that it would fit. The next problem is that the wire that comes out of it is in the very middle close to the bottom of the part, whereas stock is on the left side. So I had to drill a little hole in my spoiler right before the middle tab so that the wire would go through there (not visible). I attached the light using a household silicone gun, and it holds very well. Finally the last problem is that the stock light is a little longer than 15.5 inches.. more like 15+3/4, so after it's attached there is a tiny gap on each side, so again i used clear silicone to seal the gap. All this took not more than 20 minutes to do. It looks great. My car is beige so from a distance the light just fades in with the spoiler and it really matches the red/clear tails.

so you're saying that no one makes clear lens that would make a perfect fit for any maximas??? thanx

Yeah the spoiler light is a darker color red than the red color on the altezzas, so it doesn't match well at all. The clear would match great on the white car and altezzas. I have the same setup.

Hmm, am I one of the first to have one?

I have the same one listed above and like BossmaX, they took 2 months to ship it to me due to them being backordered. The only way mine fits is because I have a factory replica from eBay which came with a 15.5" 4-tab led. It'll be hard to find one with 3 tabs, I've looked several places and sites for a distributor and no one happens to have them, Electrodyne.cc was the closest but no luck. I linked you guys to a pic from my homepage, check it out and let me know what you think. I think it cleans up the rear a little.

I got his one for my factory replica spoiler and it was a perfect fit, because my led has 4 tabs unlike the OEM leds.

This would be so nice if someone can find them with 3 tabs. Please post a new topic if anyone finds ones that are a direct replacement.
Later,
