Greddy or Apexi

I want to buy an exhaust system for the max, I have about 600 bones and I don't know which one to buy. I hear the greddy's drone while driving down the highway but they give you more horse. Which one should I buy?
If you reply to this, where should I buy it? I tried the groupbuycenter.com and they said the apexi was on back order for like three months!
PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!!!

I got a greddy and I love it, sounds good and looks good and comes with all the nice piping already. But like he said above go with a Ypipe then an exhaust, youll gain much more power.

I like the Apexi world spory. i looks nice, has a nice growl to it, and the b-pipe on it is powdercoated. you can also add a silencer to it. it does not drone on the highway. it sounds like little dragon.

Can we get a detailed comparison from those who have them?? Sound, performance, which is more gains, which is loudest? Also, who sells for the best price on each? Thanks!

Apexi WS

Greddy Evo

Greddy SP

These are all Cat-back as far as I know and just bolt right up? No welding?

I've got the apexi world sport on my car and it sounds great. there is little drone at cruise and at WOT is sounds bada**! The materials and workmanship are great and you'll have a much easier time finding one over the greddy. I got mine from options auto salon.

What makes you think "getting" a Greddy Exhaust takes way too long.

I work down the street from Stillen, took me in all about 10 min. to pick it up. I simply called my rep. He put the order on Will Call. I drove over after work that same day.

So aside from the "drone" of the Greddy, what else are we looking at here as far as pros and cons? Prices?

I have the Apexi WS and I love it! My car does drone a bit when I'm going around 70-80mph, but I think that have more to due to the flex section of my ypipe. I have the 1st gen WSP ypipe, I just ordered a new lined flex section to replace the old one. Hopefully that will get rid of the drone at the speed I mentioned. At cruising speed, it's pretty quiet. At WOT, I don't even hear the exhaust, all I hear is the CAI. I used to have the Greddy SP exhaust and I think the Greddy was a bit louder. Both are excellent exhaust. You can't go wrong with either one IMO. I like the looks of the Apexi more than the Greddy too.

Whoa! Cumalot, I saw your homepage and noticed that you have the Mobiletek Recalibrated Valve Body. Is there a significant improvement in gear switching? Where did you purchase it from?

APEXi is much quieter than the Greddy. Personally, I don't want my car to be too loud. So, I'd go with the APEXi.

If I had known that the APEXi were quiter, I would have gone with the APEXi, but my options were limited so I chose the GReddy. On a good note, I have more hp for the noise. The drone can be irritating at times. Does anyone know if there is something one can do, short of changing the exhaust , to eliminate the drone?

athlon omega he got the VB mod from Don in Texas, i think...

go to mobiltek.com or whatever the name of the address is. they have it there. And it makes quicker harder shifts, and i believe it takes you a little higher rpm wise before it shifts... but i dunno for sure, i have that 3rd peddel!

That fart-cannon constant low pitch annoying sound at speed.

I HATE loud exhausts. Sounds so friggin cheesy. Nothing sounds worse than a 4 cylinder anything at WOT running open pipes. THe Max's 6 isn't much better. Yeeeeecchhh..... Add some neon underbody lights, some thumping "system" inside rattling the license plate, a 4' adjustable "spoiler" and what do you have? R I C E
