Problem with corner lights HELP!
I am in the process of rewiring my corner lights to take advantage of the 27 watt upgrade. I soldered the connection very carefully and then proceeded to test them. At first, one side worked and the other didn't. with the working one plugged in I tested the other side for a connection and before I knew it, neither of them was working??? is there a fuse for these bulbs? what do you people think I should try now?
ok, I'm an idiot for not reading the post about this topic earlier. all my lights work except for the corner ones (I am going to run outside and check my tail lights to see if its that fuse... brb...
I'm having the EXACT same problem. None of the previous posts on this topic cover it (that I've read anyway,.. I've done multiple "corner fuse" searches on it too) ..
Check to see if the little red piece on the bottom outside corner is on. I was told one of my tail lights would be out, and none were ..... except that one (I forgot about it), so I think it's definately a fuse problem.
Anyone know where the fuses for the corner lights are? They're not labeled "Corner Lights" or "Clearance Lights" under the hood.

I checked every function on the car and everything works except for the corner lights... tails are good etc...
I'm not following you "Check to see if the little red piece on the bottom outside corner is on." <-- what is that?

OK, those little bulbs next to the turn signal (on the outside) are not working either (you were correct). I tried replacing the tail fuse with a 7.5 and that didn't change anything
Ahhh
Found it.
It's not one of the under-the-hood fuses. It's in the interior under the steering wheel. On the left side, 5th one down from the top (I think) .. On the interior of the fuse latch (the one you remove to access the fuses), it'll have a list, it's a 7.5 and should be marked "TAIL LAMP". Change that to a 10, or another 7.5 -- but it'll probably blow frequently at 7.5. Others will tell you that you shouldn't put it to a 10, but hey, if you're running higher wattage bulbs, it's going to drain more current.

there's no need to solder anything...
all you have to do is shave off one of the pegs on the bulb, flip it, and then install on it on the higher wattage side. that way you can go back to the regular wattage once you get tired of the bright light
Re: Ahhh
that makes sense... I will try on sunday... thanks in advance as I'm almost sure you have solved my problem
