I would like to know if there is a valet switch for the factory alarm of the MAX 96?
If it is so, where is located???
Thanks
Brand new owner without manual!

There is no valet switch...

They're for aftermarket alarms...

IMO they render an alarm virtually useless... i've never installed them on cars that "i don't want stolen".

Useless? That is incorrect. When you have the security system set for passive arming and you are working on the car or loading/unloading stuff from it, you need the valet switch to keep it from setting itself off.

That is for the common person...

I never gave it (Passive arming) to my old customers... They ALWAYS came back complaining about how inconvenient it was... making me take it off.

The new DEI alarms have a new way to set valet mode... by using the door and remote...

I don't have the switch cuz I guess if anything did go wrong I know where everything is and how to fix it... I've never had to do it though...
