Ive had a cattman y-pipe for over a year now and the other day i went for a ride in a stock 99 maxima. For some reason it felt more powerful then mine and i have y-pipe, b-pipe and CAI. Ive been hearing of problems with the flex section....i visually inspected it by looking under the car and it looks to be ok but how would i know if its damaged?

 

can anyone help? i dont wanna go spend money to check it if its a waste

 

I believe you need to unbolt the pipe on the cat side and take a look with a flashlight.
