Word is that the bulbs in a 1998 are not standard size like in other years. You can't just buy a 197 or 168 bulb and replace them because those aren't the sizes... Does anyone know what is the exact size or if I can find some superwhites or colored bulbs in that size?

I am thinking of going to the dealer and asking for those bulbs, maybe if i get some new ones they'll be brighter..

Dude you already saw my car center console, and dealer told me the bulbs are same for 1995/99 years and they must be ordered only through Nissan. I tried performance shops and they dont have this kind of bulbs.

IM me for more details. By the way i have now new wheels and new Dunlop tires, they ride awesome pretty quiet and good on Belt, easily reach 70 in no time

I was posting this thinking about your center console. I saw your gauges, those are superwhites right? But the other bulbs u put into the climate control are just regular nissan bulbs? Cus those are a LOT brighter then mine. i just heard that 95-97 are 168 or 197 size, but no one knows what 98 is.. i'm sure the dealer has them but i was hoping to find maybe brighter aftermarket bulbs in that size....

thats correct gauge has hyper whites, and climate control has just brand new bulbs from dealer. He told me that gauge has same bulbs for 95/99 so you can go for it, buy 7 bulbs hyper whites for your gauge cluster (5 for cluster and 2 for your door), then order from nissan dealer climate bulbs (courtesy $19.64 with shipping), they told me that they r supposed to last for 3-4 years before they start to fade off or burn up.

I have been working latelly so no time to be on forum. Soon will get tints for my ride and new alarm, you know those ones with display remotes which show whats going around my car.

only 5 bulbs if you know how to remove climate then it ll be easy job for u, otherwise its a bitc to remove it.

if anyone else has experience with changing the bulbs in 98s + please feel free to share I'm still hoping there is someone out there that makes hyper whites in that weird size or at least know the #.

well i dont think anyone makes any aftermarket bulbs for the cimate control and the 98 dash(i bought the 194/168bulbs before checking and they dont fit), So im going to try and wire up some blue leds with resistors to every thing and see how it comes out.
