Have my 96SE since last friday. I know it needs a tune up(it's got almost 75k) but should i take it to nissan or just any mechanic?(nissan wants $300) I don't have the tools to do it myself, i've never really done much engine work on any of my cars.

Also, i have that starting problem a few people have posted about. when i turn the key, i get rapid clicking and flashing dash indicators. my question is, if it is the starter, how much should i expect to pay?

Next time you start your car, try this: turn the key to the "On" position for a few seconds (to allow the fuel pump to build pressure), then start it. I've heard that this helps. If you have 80K+ miles, though, then the starter might be going bad. I got mine replaced for $198, using a new aftermarket starter.
