pain in the @$$!!

I shaved my maxima emblem today. And I did all the recommended steps, ie: heat up with blow dryer and use dental floss to take off. And I bought that Goo Gone stuff. And it took me at least 4 hours to get the rest of the glue off. I just kept wetting it with the stuff and trying to scrape it off with my finger nail. Should I have used something else? Did anyone else have this much trouble? Before that I was considering taking the emblem off too, but with all the trouble I changed my mind.

I did the same thing you did and i love the outcome, i polished the trunk off after to make sure there were no traces of Maxima left.

I guess i forgot to mention that after you take the bagde , use the hair dryer/heatgun to heat up the remaining glue. It comes off much much easier

yeah I thought about doing that...but after the goo gone was applied, and that stuff is combustable so I didn't need my trunk to blow up. But oh well it looks good and it still was worth it.

Combustable maybe, but the heat from a hair dryer won't set it up. Just don't drop any matches on it.
