Opinions on some rims and need help with tire size

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting some new wheels for my black 97 GLE...the wheels that i've been leaning towards the most are the enkei CDR9s...but after looking at this one page, the Enkei Suzukas look pretty cool too...anyone have pics of these on maxes?...also, is 205/40/17 the right size for 17x7 wheels? the wheelmax page says they're wrapped in that size Kumhos...don't know which set of kumhos though

thanks

buy the tires seperately and go with 235/45/17. the tires they give you in the package are kinda small.

that is what i was thinking too, but everywhere i look, in order to get the 235/45/17 on the CDR9s, it'll cost me about 1100 shipped, while to get these from wheelmax, it'll cost me around 890 shipped...i could definitely use the ~210 dollar savings somewhere else if the difference in tire quality isn't too much

yea, it does feel good to save some money . i'm actually trying to get these 20's off wheelmax so let me know how it is doing business with them. but as far as the tires go, you shouldn't see too much difference in tire quality. it's just that the ones in the package are gonna be thiner and more low profile. i like your taste in rims tho! here is a pic of the rims i want: 1,600 for rims and tires! 255/35/20 falken's too. all i gotta do is sell my 18's. Binno 970

hey, would you be interested in 18's? i have katana concept 6's with Pirelli P7000 Supersports 235/40/zr18. they have about 3,000 miles on them.

wow...those 20s look sweet!!...and i don't know for sure yet whether i am going to be able to purchase the rims or not, but most likely i will go with the CDR9s, but it all depends on whether i get some $$ from my parents, and that depends on my grades for this last grading period, so who knows...and thanks for the offer on the 18s, but i think the highest i will go is 17s, just to be safe and leave enough tire...but i hope you have great luck in getting those 20s, they look sweet!...and thanks for your help...wheelmax has some really good deals, i'm just trying to figure out how they can sell so cheap compared to other places

ok, nevermind, by going with the 205/40/17 on their site, that would mean my speedo would be off by over 5%, which i don't like...plus as you said, i would have a lower profile tire, which would not be too good where i live, too many potholes...so, i guess back to other sites it is...better to spend 200 exra now than pay for new tires within a few months....i'll see how it turns out
