Question/problem on Clear bumper lights

Last night while driving home killin a civic on the Garden State Parkway I heard a loud banging noise. Paid toll pulled over only to find my drivers side marker light hanging off the car. I think this hapened at about 95 miles per hour. This morning goint to work it happened again at about 80. Has this happened to anyone else? Any sugustions on how to fix with out glueing the metal post to the plastic nipple? TIA!

Ok you need to take players and unscrew mettal piece(bolt) that sticks out of the markers. It happens to everyone. Then they will be more secure. Good luck

go to www.maximadriver.com how2 section, Cheston has some nice instructions on how to get rid of the little socket that the ball plugs in to and you actually end up mounting the smaller lense piece to the car so that you need a socket to remove it rather than just being able to pop it off, i just did it this weekend when i got my 96 and it was really easy to do and no permenant modifications.

did u notice less gap between blinker and sidemarker when you did this? mine are in the "regular" way and even though I've removed them multiple times (rewiring corners, changing bulbs) they are secure and have never come out despite 90+mph driving, bumpy roads, etc...

I would want to do this if it will make them flush because I do have a visible gap - the sidemarker sticks out farther than the blinker

what you do is instead of using the ball again you take a screw and screw through the hole where the plug was and in to the lense so you should be able to pull it in more and if thats too far put a washer on the screw, if i remember right there are some plastic rails on the back of the side lense that if it still sticks out too far you could sand them down slightly.
