Louie..

Its located near the TB up top the engine. there is a round plastic UFO looking thing sitting on a bracket with a small hose coming out the top and 2 big hoses off the bottom. Thats the EVAP canister purge colume control valve.

That post was over 6 months old. It turned out to be a a loose connection on the wire harness.

I'm having the same problem....and no wiring harness. I Took it off (the UFO shaped thing), blew into it, didn't get a whole lot of resistance before it opened, sprayed some WD-40, put it back on, and same code.

I'm stuck....if anyone knows, let us know!

Check all the vaccumm hoses to be sure they are connected properly and are not cut up. On most max's the EVAP solenoid is operated with vaccum.

That solenoid for the EVAP is just above where the "STILLEN" letters are on my FSTB. In that pic it just looks like a metalic....thing.

In this picture its just left of the STILLEN letters on the FSTB has a brown plastic connection on it.

just above the STILLEN lettering almost out of the picture.

Well you can't see it in this picture... But I was just thinking how nice my engine bay looks in the first picture as compared to the last.

no. go look at the vin number under your hood. its like just in front of the 2nd to last digit. My links worked fine when I just checked them.

Thanks... I think

If you have a Chiltons, there is a really good diagram on chapter 4 page 30. 4-30

It will show you the volume control valve and where the purge control valves are. You can see clearly where the harness fits in on the upper portion. This thing we are talking about is under the hood, not on the tank itself or anywhere near it.
