IMPORTANT - front blinker rewire - possibly causes electrical problems?
IMPORTANT - front blinker rewire - possibly causes electrical problems?
I'm about to install some foglights and the installation instructions suggest tapping the lighted power switch to the parking light circuit. I've seen this recommendation before for other accessories that would only be used when the lights are on.
HOWEVER, the effect of the front blinker rewire is that the side marker light will go OFF/ON when the front blinker goes ON/OFF. When the side marker goes off, won't that interrupt anything else being powered from the parking light circuit? If so, that can introduce some nasty problems (e.g. if you have fog lights controlled by this, they'll end up turning OFF/ON everytime you use your turn signals).
If I'm right and this is a problem, those who have front blinker rewire instructions should update them with a word of caution. If I'm wrong, please let me know--thanks!
