interior is gross

theres a black dirt or something on the doors. its on the vinyl not on the carpet part. plus my dad get into the car with grease on his shoes and pants so the floor and seats are turing a darker black. i have tan interiors so all this black stuff is gross . anyone recommend any really strong cleaning solutions for vinyl and carpet.

Try Tuff Stuff...it's a foam carpet cleaner and it did wonders for an old car of my with nicotine stains on the interior.

Tuff stuff rocks!

Also, try simple green. Or get the interior professionally detailed.

Re: interior is gross

I'd freak out and be ****ed off if that happened to my SE inside, considering I also have a tan interior

What I usually do to keep my factory mats clean is to buy another set of floor mats, mainly from WalMart & place them on top of my factory mats, and to keep the rear factory mats in the back clean, I placed a set of rubber mats along w/ the mats I bought from WalMart on top of the rear factory mats

I had the same problem. Someone got into my backseat and left it full of gunk. Use a higher pressure vacuum and a regular carpet cleaner from any autoparts store. Rub the cleaner into the carpet and let it sit for about 10 minutes...rinse...then dry with the vacuum. It may not look that clean at first but you need to let it sit out in the open for about 36 hours. They should look nice afterwards.
About the doors...I had a similar problem and I cleaned them with a leather cleaner and polish. I had to scrub like hell ,though.

Yeah, that stuff works wonders. Tried it on my Altima mats(when I had that car, of course), made them look just like new

For the vinyl parts, like the doors, I use rubbing compound and water. All the ground in dirt comes clean and easily. You must polish with a cleaner, afterwards, because it leaves a "soapy" look. Looks brand new when finish!

Try "Goof Off" Solvent or spray, solvent is stronger, it's not just for cars so don't look in an aid auto it is amazing for fabric and leather but keep it away from your dash or anything plastic that is supposed to look like leather but it will work wonders for your rug and seats. It's pretty powerful so see how much you need first...then dump it on if you have to. It has a very intoxicating smell so don't do it before a long drive with the windows closed.
Oh hell...read the directions! I'm babblingamazing
